EmpireCards.com will gladly accept your Magic: the Gathering cards for trade or sale!
We are currently only looking to purchase cards on our buy list through the mail. Why? We do buy cards that are not listed but this list is more of a "most needed" list to fill in inventory gaps. We'd rather not give our competition a guide on "how to buy Magic: the Gathering cards like we do" so we'll just go this route for now.

Buy list prices are for ENGLISH cards only! We currently do not purchase foreign Magic: the Gathering singles.

Please read all of the terms before submitting a buy list order
1.) We are currently only paying cash for cards listed on our buy list
2.) We currently do not accept foils or bulk through the mail unless the FOIL version is on the list
3.) Please do not submit multiple buy list orders for the same card over and over. Doing so will result in cancellation of all of your buy list orders.
4.) View our grading scale by clicking here before submitting a buy list.
5.) Buy list prices are for SP or better condition cards only
6.) Played cards will be accepted at 70% of listed price. Please make note of this on your invoice you are willing to take less for played cards.
7.) We do not accept severely damaged cards. Please keep your water damaged, bent, cards that were stored with rubber bands around them and markered cards to sell to us at a show as we have to view these cards to get a fair buy price for you.
8.) Minimum Sell to Us is $25.00!
9.) Anyone selling/trading with us you must be 18 years of age and be the rightful owner of the items they are attempting to deal to us. By dealing with us you are agreeing you are the rightful owner of the cards you are attempting to sell/trade! If you are not the rightful owner of the cards you are attempting to sell please have the owner place their own "sell to us" order.
10.) All prices have shipping included in the buy number, meaning we are not responsible for any costs associated with shipping items to us.
11.) In the event you send in played cards and the order total needs adjusted we will contact you before finalizing payment - We want you to be treated fair!

How to sell us cards
Make sure you have signed up for an EmpireCards.com Account before going through the buy list process!
A. Click on the BuyList link on this page (or click here)
B. Select a set you are looking to sell items from. Our buy list "search by card" feature is still under construction. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while our site is being finalized.
C. Sets are listed alphabetically so simply sort your cards A-Z and click Add to Cart on each item you wish to sell. We recommend editing your cart numbers once per set so add 1 of each to your cart then edit the number you are willing to sell once you are finished with the list then click update cart. Please keep your items in order as they appear in the shopping cart. This is important.
D. Repeat step C until you have went through all of the sets we are buying or cards you wish to sell
E. Click submit buy list.
F. Await the approval email for your buy list order. If you have not received this within 48 hours please email carl@empirecards.com with the subject "EmpireCards.com buy list approval"
G. Print our your confirmed buy list email and write your preferred payment method (paypal or store credit), paypal email address, name and mailing address in case items need to be returned due to condition issues. Customer will assume all responsibility for return shipping and handling.
H. Remove all cards from sleeves and verify all items are sorted exactly as they appear on your buy list invoice. A sorting fee of $20/hr or $5 minimum (whichever is greater) will be charged for items that do not appear in the order as they appear on the invoice and for cards to be removed from sleeves.
I. Package the items as you would expect to get them in the mail. Do not try to squeeze 50 cards into a plain white envelope and slap a stamp on the outside of the envelope. Use top loaders, cardboard boxes, deck boxes or anything you would find at your local trading card store that is meant to store and protect trading cards.
J. Buy list orders must be received within 7 days of buy list being approved to avoid price adjustments. If your buy list is outdated please email carl@empirecards.com and state that you wish to cancel your old buy list order and resubmit a new buy list order.

Store credit items are paid immediately.
Paypal payments are added to a payment sheet and will be paid in order of payment received.

Seller (you) assume all responsibility for paypal fees and shipping costs to get the items to us. Please package your order to avoid damage during shipment and purchase tracking and insurance on your package. EmpireCards.com assumes no responsibility for items that a customer would mail to us that is lost in the mail. *EmpireCards.com buy list prices may be slightly different than Empire Game Center store TRADE prices due to supply/demand in each location. Store customers are welcome to submit buy lists to this site but will have to process a buy list just as any other customer would have to do. We do not offer "cash" payments in store for cards, you'll have to mail the items in.
**EmpireCards.com reserves the right to limit or cancel any buy list order for any reason (this is rare)
***This list is not an offer to buy your items - we reserve the right to change prices without notice (sometimes other users are sending in quantity of the same cards.) Once your order is CONFIRMED and APPROVED by us your prices will be locked in. In the event you send the incorrect condition/language cards then your entire order may be voided and returned at your expense.
****Show buy prices are subject to change as shows target the most needed/best selling cards and this list targets the "filler items" - please do not try to drop off buy list orders at shows.
