One Pack to Power

With the week of GenCon coming I'm looking forward to the spectacle that is the greatest four days in gaming. Last year I was awestruck by the sheer number of magic players and events being run. This year is different, once the vendor booth shuts down for the day I'll be heading over to the card tables for a chance at going from Pack to Power. As many others have had before me I will be following a set of rules and ethical guidelines that are as follows...


  • I will be starting with a booster pack of Magic's latest set M12. The original pack will be documented on Day 1 of the challenge.
  • This will be a trades-only challenge; only cards I can trade for will be documented in this article. (Extra sweeteners welcome)
  • Both parties must be satisfied with the trade. I won't be forcing the trade or going outside the overall card values unless the other participant feels charitable during the trade.
  • Should I be unable to obtain Power I will be using what I gain throughout the experience as prize cards for the events I run at Gamingetc Tournament Center

The challenge starts once I get to GenCon on Tuesday where pack 1 will be opened and documented. Feel free to e-mail me during the week at Bill@gamingetc.com with questions or comments and I will try to answer them before, during and after the challenge.
